Mission
The thrust of research in the LEL lies in the use of advanced visualizations and information architectures to improve human performance in real and virtual environments. Motivated originally by the need to recreate every-day living environments to stimulate design of innovative homecare technologies, our work has expanded to a suite of investigations from basic to applied, all centered around information in complex but casual (non-industrial) settings. The primary instrument of our work is a C6 Virtual Reality CAVE™ and we are exploring scientific, clinical and aesthetic applications of this technology along with some basic computer science issues in visualization and image creation, replay and stabilization.
Greetings from the Living Environments Lab Team!
