What: Presentation by UW faculty or guest speakers that talk about their research and how optimization may interface with their interests.
When: Every Monday 4-5pm during academic year
Where: Wisconsin Institute for Discovery (WID), usually room 3280
Who: UW faculty or guest speakers
Why: Allows the public, UW staff, and students to understand Optimization
How: Attend a Seminar in the Wisconsin Institutes for Discovery if you do not have card access.

SILO Lunch Series
What: Presentation series on various mathematical topics
When: Wednesday 12:30 – 1:30pm
Where: Wisconsin Institute for Discovery (WID) room TBD
Who: Various presentation speakers and topics
Why: Provides a forum that connects and help recruit mathematically minded graduate students.
How: A lunch and listen format where speaker present interesting math topics while the audience eats their lunch.
COPTA Seminar Series:
Committee on OPTimization and its Applications
What: Lecture series about Optimization or related topics that will help audience understand new Optimization opportunities
When: Time may vary with speaker availability (1 hour presentations)
Where: Wisconsin Institute for Discovery (WID), room TBD.

Why: Provides a forum for Optimization presentations and discussions
