WID is dedicated to advancing theoretical and laboratory research in distributed, information-rich systems.
We identify, characterize and exploit informational mechanisms at the
interfaces among physical, biological and social systems using novel
experimental, computational and theoretical approaches.
Our motto is from cells to societies and we are committed to remaining
open to new ideas, new technologies and fostering unlikely
collaborations.
Through our intimate partnership with the not-for-profit Morgridge
Institute for Research we aim to accelerate discovery and delivery in
the domains of health and well-being.
