As your host at the Discovery Building, we are committed to keeping our environment safe, and the safety of our staff, volunteers and guests is paramount. Following UW-Madison's policy guidelines and Wisconsin's recent declaration of a public health emergency due to the coronavirus, we have canceled events at the Discovery Building through May 15.
As of March 18, the Discovery Building will be closed to the public. If you are planning to meet a Discovery Building-based host, we encourage you to schedule the appointment in advance and plan to call them upon your arrival.
Some of the canceled events include :

- Saturday Science March 14 and April 4
- Entrepreneurons March 25
- Afterschool Expeditions March 30
- Crossroads of Ideas March 31
- Build It, Badgers! April 2
- WARF Essential Topics April 6
We will explore the possibility of rescheduling these events for later in the year and will post updates on any rescheduled events as well as the reopening of the building to the public on discovery.wisc.edu. We will also notify people on the email lists for these programs of any updates and rescheduled events as we are able.
